Hold a Used DVD and CD Drive

Another new fundraising program we are offering is a drive to collect good used DVDs and music CDs.  Several area schools are now collecting unwanted or unused  CDs and DVDs from parents at their schools.  Many families have tons of DVDs that they don’t watch and CDs that they do not listen to.  By the school collecting these we are reselling them to people on the internet and the schools are coming up with extra needed funds.  This is an easy program and it catches on quickly.  By putting a notice in your school newsletter, parents will be reminded to bring in these items and place them in a recycle bin similar to the one for inkjet cartridges.  We ask that they are all in good condition and in their original case.  If the plastic is cracked that is fine as we will replace it.  We do need the original inserts that list what songs are on them.  Each CD and DVD will earn from 25 cents to $25.00 for the the schools.  Most average about a dollar.  Currently we are not collecting burned CDs or computer CD-roms.

Out of town schools can send DVDs and CDs in for quick payment.  Please send 10 or more and we will reimburse postage and send you a check within 72 hours.  Ship them to School Cartridge Recycling Program 6817 Arbor LN NE Cedar Rapids, IA  52402.
